P. agathidicida has mildly stipulate oogonia with globose amphigynous antheridia. P.cocois has mildly bullate oogonia with reflexed amphigynous antheridia. P. castaneae has coarsely bullate oogonium with rugose protuberances and narrow amphigynous antheridia (Weir et al. 2015).
