Because of COVID, we had to cancel our in-person meeting at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo last March 2020.  We had planned to come back in person to the same location in 2021. However, because of COVID concerns, and the risk of not having a vaccine and adequate air travel next year, we decided to do the meeting virtually on zoom in 2021.  It will be 2 days from 8 am to 1 pm, March 23-24, 2021.  We will have a keynote speaker each day, student talks for the scholarship competition, and regular 10-15 minute talks as usual. We will also have 5 minute speed talks. If you would like to present a talk, please contact Kelly Ivors ( ) with your title and a 4 to 5 sentence summary of the talk by March 1, 2021. Because of the increased attendance in a virtual format, our committee will decide which presentations make the final agenda  and let you know the following week. We will also be offering a mix of 15 minute talks and shorter 5 min elevator speech types of talks.  You can specify what type of talk you would like to present.

STUDENTS: If you want to present a talk, you can apply for the student awards competition (under Martin Stoner Scholarship at the website).  If you do not want to apply for the award, you can still contact Timothy Paulitz ( ) with a title and 4 to 5 sentence summary, but preference will be given to student award competitors. Deadline for student award application or presenting student talks without award is Jan. 30, 2020.  Students can also sign up for the 5 min talks, but to qualify for the scholarship, you will have to present a 15-min talk.

Registration will be $15, by Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/66th-annual-conference-on-soilborne-plant-pathogens-tickets-124023813565).  Students are free, and those that paid registration last year and were not reimbursed are also free. But all tickets need to be obtained on Eventbrite, and registration information must be sent on google forms (https://forms.gle/mJM3Ex9sGH4TMq2W7) so we can send you the zoom numbers.  See the REGISTRATION 2021 page on the website for more information.

Hope to see you there (virtually!)
